The Development Department of the Menorah Izu Aharon Company Ltd. includes hardware and software engineers, practical engineers and technicians.
The Department develops products in the field of traffic light and street light control, and also provides solutions for the whole range of technical requirements of the company’s projects.
In addition, the Department submits technical proposals for various tenders, and executes the projects after winning.
Activities of the Department
The Department provides solutions in the following fields
Lighting control: This includes the supply and installation of programmed controllers, a range of communications infrastructure solutions, and the setting up of control centers. Examples are the lighting control centers in Haifa and Jerusalem.
Traffic light control: This includes: traffic light controllers, a range of communications infrastructure solutions, and the setting up of a control center.
Following the example of the traffic light control center of the Haifa Municipality, a traffic light control center is presently under construction for the National Roads Company of Israel Ltd (MA’ATZ)
Range of products: A ring detector for vehicles – one of the world’s most advanced of its kind. The detectors operate independently and/or through a connection to a controlling computer.
Audible signaling devices, to assist the sight impaired, for installation at street crossings with traffic lights.
These units are among the most advanced in the world, and meet the requirements of international standards.
Systems maintenance: The Department undertakes and implements technical projects together with other companies that work in collaboration with Menorah, for example: the railway crossing barrier control systems of the Scheidt & Bachmann Co. (Germany), and the traffic light control system of the Swarco Co. (Germany).
The Acoustic and Tactile unit, develpot by our R&D team, has won the Atir - Industrial Design 2011 Award
for the design of the unit.
This unit is a breakthrough in its field, and is being installed all over the country.
